Welcome our new summer fellow, Katie Yaeger

This week, we’re excited to welcome our new summer fellow, Katie Yaeger.

Katie graduated from the University of Missouri this spring with a Bachelor of Journalism degree. She will return to the Missouri School of Journalism in the fall to pursue her master’s in strategic communication.

She was also a Dow Jones News Fund editing intern at The Kansas City Star in summer 2014 and was a member of the Columbia Missourian community outreach team.

Katie will be working on a range of projects for API in addition to a project of her own. Her proposed project is related to the connection between a brand’s tone on social media and the engagement it receives as a result, as well as the connection between tone and credibility.

API’s summer fellows have the opportunity to work on existing efforts in addition to contributing a project of their own. If you’re interested in API’s summer fellowship for 2016, you can learn more about the program here and sign up to be notified when applications open.

If you’re interested in the topic Katie will be working on at API or have ideas about it, she can be reached by email at katie.yaeger@pressinstitute.org. You can also follow Katie on Twitter at @KatieYaeger.
