A magazine called ‘Delayed Gratification’ is experimenting with whether ‘slow journalism’ can work

Aptly named Delayed Gratification is taking a cue from the “slow food” movement to see if people will pay for “slow journalism.” The idea is that Delayed Gratification will take topics that have been extensively covered by mainstream media and add more contextual analysis and in-depth original reporting. Delayed Gratification will charge £36 ($52) per year for the quarterly digital magazine.
