The Sun’s acquisition of 225,000 digital subscribers answers one big question, but here are three more

Just 16 months after launching its paywall, The Sun announced it has nearly 225,000 paying digital customers for its online package Sun+. “But while it’s definitely a good start for the Sun’s paywall, if News UK is going to build a sustainable digital business, there are still some big questions to answer,” writes Jasper Jackson. How many subscribers are in it for the long term, how will it cope with the social web, and how will it replace print advertising, asks Jackson.
