Poland’s conservative government puts heavy restrictions on state TV news — resulting in more than 160 journalists leaving state broadcasting

At least 164 staffers have left Polish state broadcasting and audiences have declined at all state TV channels since January media controls went into effect, according to the Journalists’ Association, one of the two main organizations representing Polish journalists. “They (the journalists) did not want to participate in political pacification of the media,” the group says on its website.
