If you think newspapers are growing irrelevant, read this piece by James O'Byrne of the Times-Picayune.

Gregg McLachlan has some good advice for opinion page editors (and other editors, too):

I was delighted to receive a copy of A Writer's Coach by Jack Hart. I've always valued Jack's advice and look forward to reading it. It will accompany me on some upcoming travels and I will report back with a few highlights.
