Writing Tips A story written with emotional authenticity
By July 18, 2006 2:32 PM I really like this story by Kristen Hare of the St. Joseph News-Press. She writes with emotional authenticity. A colleague recently messaged me looking for a list of various story forms. I connected him with some people who had compiled staff catalogs of story forms that aren't available online, so I can't send you there. However, another colleague sent this link to Jonathan Dube's "Online Storytelling Forms." I also steered my correspondent to the handout for my workshop on story structure and to Jack Hart's "Lexicon of Leads." I know I just plugged Roy Peter Clark's blog, but I can't resist plugging it again. It's probably the guy in me, but I had to read (and heartily recommend) "Get the name of that bra."
