"Enrol" at NewsCollege

I have passed along some of Gregg McLachlan's tips from his Write Way newsletter before to people who have been receiving my writing tips by e-mail for a long time. I didn't pass them along more often because they weren't always immediately available online. Well, now they are. Please check out his NewsCollege site. Please note that Gregg's from Canada (Simcoe, Ontario). When he sent out his first message announcing that he'd placed his Write Way material online, some editor from south of the border felt the necessity to point out that he had misspelled "enrol" (my computer just tried to correct it for me). No, he just spells that and some other things the Canadian way. Roll with the occasional spelling variation and Gregg shares some valuable insights on writing. If you work at a small newspaper, I definitely recommend his cover story, "Small Towns, Big Stories."
