Intro | Part One| Part Two | Part Three

In a project funded in part by API, the Nebraska Press Association presents "My Community Newspaper," a 14-minute video that looks at the relationship between the newspaper and the community:

What started out as a way to exchange information and ideas has grown to thousands of weekly and daily newspapers across the country. By engaging its readers, newspapers carry out what our nation's founders believed was so important -- Freedom of the press. With that freedom comes responsibility, and our community newspapers answer that call every day, and every week. Not only publishing the news and information the community wants to read about, but helping the community understand itself.
