The API Experience Moving forward, designers get to set the rules
By February 25, 2004 10:44 AM Dale Peskin, co-director of The Media Center and a former newspaper designer, spoke as part of a panel discussion during API's Design for Tomorrow's Readers: Building a Showcase for the News seminar. He talked about the future of design in an ever-evolving media landscape. "The good news," says Peskin, "is designers get to set the rules, and make the changes. If there is any point in time, in the history of newspapers where the voice of designers can be heard in changing things, it's now. ... You're going to have an ear, because publishers are scared to death." To listen to an excerpt from the seminar (8:52, requires Flash 5), click here. Email this article
