Mark F. Mulholland Joins API as Associate Director

RESTON, VA -- Mark F. Mulholland has joined the staff of the American Press Institute as an associate director.

He will research, design and conduct leadership development seminars for senior media executives, including API's Executive Development Program and High-Performance Leadership.

"We are fortunate to have such a creative, results-oriented media marketing executive join API's staff," said President and Executive Director Andrew B. Davis. "He has experience in a variety of markets and positions, at both corporate and field levels."

Prior to joining API, Mark was director of sales and marketing at the Victoria (Texas) Advocate. He previously held positions as vice president/director of marketing for Media General Inc.'s WFLA-TV in Tampa, Fla.; corporate director of marketing for Lee Enterprises in Davenport, Iowa; and marketing director for the Chicago Sun-Times and the Roanoke (Va.) Times & World News.

Mark has attended several API seminars including Executive Marketing and Advertising Executives (metro markets). He also has participated as a discussion leader in several API seminars including Advertising Executives (metro markets), Advertising Executives (community markets) and Promoting the Daily Newspaper.

He holds a B.A. in journalism/advertising from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va.
