Register Early

Space is limited so early registration is recommended for guaranteed seating.

Cancellation Policy

If a registrant cannot attend a program, he or she is strongly encouraged to find a substitute. The Media Center begins to incur significant program costs about eight weeks prior to a program start date. For all cancellations, The Media Center retains a $100 processing fee. For cancellations within four weeks of an event, The Media Center retains 50 percent of the registration fee. For cancellations within two weeks, The Media Center retains the full fee. There is no penalty for substitutions.

Registration Fee

Travel and hotel costs are not included in the registration fee. During a program, registrants should also expect to have to cover the costs of some meals. All registrations must be prepaid in U.S. funds. The Media Center is a non-profit organization that derives its income from registration fees, network-membership fees, and contributions and grants. We are an independently-funded affiliate of the American Press Institute (API). API program discounts and promotions do NOT apply to Media Center programs and events.

Program Changes

Media Center events focus on the very latest developments and trends at the intersection of media, technology and society. As a result, program changes may occur at the last minute. Check the event’s Web information page for updated program details and developments. The Media Center’s event schedule is also subject to change; new events could be added in response to issues or opportunities that arise over the course of a programming year.
