Kurt Lozier

Mr. Lozier joined Ottaway in February of 2005 as director of Internet revenue development, and was promoted in 2008, first to general manager and then to his current position.

Dow Jones Local Media Group, formerly Ottaway Community Newspapers, is a subsidiary of Dow Jones & Company, which is itself a subsidiary of News Corporation and owns newspapers, Web sites and niche publications in California, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Lozier started his technology career writing some of the early construction industry management software and consulting on database applications while an undergraduate and through graduate school. After finishing his MBA he was the controller and business development head for several construction / land development companies. He then joined a technology startup as Director of Finance after its purchase by a publicly traded company, later becoming the head of its consulting division.
In 1996 Mr. Lozier co-founded PowerAdz.com, the predecessor to PowerOne Media, as head of sales / business development and then product management.

Mr. Lozier spends his “non-work” time outdoors running, hiking, paddling, and backcountry skiing, and is a pilot with instrument and glider ratings.
He is a graduate of Siena College and received his MBA from Union College. He lives in Ballston Lake, N.Y., and has two sons.
