Suzanne Raitt
Vice President of Marketing and Innovation, Canadian Newspaper Association

Suzanne Raitt holds the position of vice president of marketing and innovation at the combined Canadian Newspaper Association/Community Newspaper Association.

In this role, Ms. Raitt works to provide advertisers, media planners and creative agencies (as well member papers) with the latest newspaper information and creative advertising examples from around the world. She also sources and shares the most current ideas and thinking from innovators in media and other industries. 

Ms. Raitt previously worked at the Toronto Star where she held the position of managing director, advertising effectiveness. Prior to joining the Star, Ms. Raitt held increasingly senior marketing roles at such companies as A.C. Nielsen Marketing Research, Robin Hood Multifoods, Hershey Canada, the Canadian Newspaper Association, and at creative advertising agencies Anderson Advertising, Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, and MacLaren McCann (Erickson).

Ms. Raitt holds three degrees from the University of Western Ontario. From the Ivey School of Business she earned her Masters of Business Administration and an Honours Business Administration. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics.  She is an alumna of API’s 2007 seminar Building the New Revenue Portfolio.
