David Licko
Senior Vice President, Denver Newspaper Agency

Mr. Licko was named Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of the Denver Newspaper Agency in October 2006.  Prior to coming to Denver, he held positions with other newspapers including Senior Vice President Finance and Group Controller for Indianapolis Newspapers, owned by Gannett, VP/Financial Operations for Gannett’s newspaper division, and regional controller in Reno, Nevada.  Mr. Licko is a CPA and earned a BBA as an accounting major from University of Iowa.  He is and has long been an active member of several professional organizations including Financial Executives International and International Newspaper Financial Executives.  He has also been active in community associations including current board member positions for the Children’s Museum of Denver and the Mile High United Way and previously with the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Children’s Bureau of Indianapolis and the United Way.  He and his wife, Elaine, have two grown children, Nancy and Bill.  Both are married and reside in the Denver area as well.
