Rodney Mayers
Assistant Vice President, Interactive, Cox Enterprises

 Mr. Mayers is currently the Assistant Vice President, Interactive Media at Cox Enterprises and has been with Cox for over seven years. In his current role he is charged with working with each of the Cox divisions on their respective interactive media needs, facilitating partnerships across division and with external interactive media companies and working with Investment Banks and the Venture Capital community to source innovative solutions in the space.

He started his career at Cox in the Cox Interactive Media division in 1999 as Director of Planning and Product Development and went on to become Vice President of Business Development before joining CEI's Business Development department in September of 2002.

As a Business Development manager, Rodney developed the initial proof of concept for what is now Cox Search, known to everyone as Kudzu.com. Most recently, as Director of Business Development, he led a staff of 6 business development managers on various projects for Cox divisions and CEI. 

Before joining Cox, he worked at Prodigy Communications in White Plains, NY. He served in a variety of roles including Manager of Client Services, Director of Sales Operations and Director of IT Front Office, a project management office that managed all of Prodigy's product development efforts. Rodney has also worked in Public Television (WNET, NY), Radio (WOLF AM-Syracuse) and the Advertising industry (BBDO and Y&R).

Rodney has an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.A. in Economics from Syracuse University.
