API's former Vice President for Operations and Extended Learning, Watson was on executive staff from June 1998 - June 2004. Twenty-six years as newspaper reporter, editor, executive and art director. Executive editor of Central Maine Newspapers; managing editor/associate publisher of Portland (Maine) Press Herald; editor of the Daily Peabody (MA) Times; art director of the St. Petersburg Times; assistant news editor of the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle. ASNE member. 2003 president of the Society for News Design. Widely published in industry periodicals and has consulted to newspapers worldwide. New England native, and can’t kick the accent. Loves tennis, golf, bass fishing, Winston Cup auto racing. You’ll find him high above the first turn rooting for Maine's Ricky Craven, the Tide No. 32!
