Steve Barth
Senior Vice President, MediaSpan Online

Steven Barth has an extensive background in online and print media.  Currently, as executive vice president, he is leading the continued growth of MediaSpan Group’s Online Services Division. . Formerly, as vice president, interactive at Freedom Communications for two years, Mr. Barth spearheaded a new    search engine marketing program for local retailers and service businesses and led the employment innovation team in forging an enterprise-wide partnership with Monster.com. From 1998 through 2004 at the Los Angeles Times Mr. Barth helped to launch such brands as Cars.com, Career Builder and Recycler.com in the Los Angeles marketplace. During his tenure there he served in a variety of capacities, ultimately leading the online and classified effort as nice president, classified and interactive. During that time Los Angeles Times Interactive became a highly profitable, award winning news and information destination site.

Mr. Barth also has 16 years of yellow pages publishing experience.  His successes in that industry include the launch in San Diego, Los Angeles and San Francisco of America Online's yellow pages through its Digital City division.

Mr. Barth earned his bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
