Matt McGuire
Senior Producer, Metromix

Matt McGuire has worked at the Tribune Company for the last seven years, spending the last five as an online producer for Metromix.com. He's overseen Metromix's music and nightlife sections, and created one of Metromix's most popular reoccurring features, its Reader Review panel. (Essentially groups of readers that offer a valued "regular guy" point-of-view on everything from sushi to the dating scene.) He helped in the launch of RedEye, the Chicago Tribune's youth tabloid, which includes a daily Metromix print section, and the Metromix Planner, which appears daily in the Chicago Tribune. McGuire began his journalism career at Lerner Newspapers, where he worked as a beat reporter covering Chicago's Northwest Side. He has an English degree from DePaul University.
