Peter Lundquist

I started my career as a reporter, first as a Pulliam Journalism Fellow at the Indianapolis News, then as a beat reporter for the Lawrence (Kan.) Journal-World. In 1995, as Web Editor, I was a founding member of Journal-World Web Works, the new media arm of the World Co. I joined Gannett in 1996 to start The Des Moines Register's online operation, where I moved from a journalism focus to business planning, sales management and P&L responsibility for the first time. My wife, Angelina, was a reporter at the time, and our relationship survived the culture shock of me moving from a newsroom to take responsibility for marketing and sales as well as content. I have two sons, Gabriel, 8, and Simon, 5, and I enjoy live music, reading, writing and "studying" pop culture.
