Jay Brodsky
Director, Digital Media, NPR Online

Jay Brodsky leads the technology efforts of National Public Radio's Digital Media unit, including application development, systems infrastructure, and audio production. He participates in several cross-company and cross-industry efforts to reorganize operations for the digital age and provides technical and strategic guidance for NPR's on-demand and mobile activities.

Mr. Brodsky joined NPR recently after eleven years at Tribune Media Services, the content-licensing and entertainment-data aggregation unit of Chicago-based Tribune Company, where he served most recently as the Vice President for Technology. Mr. Brodsky has served as General Manager for NewsCom, a web-based photo-licensing business, authored three patents pending in the area of interactive television, developed an industry standard XML protocol, and developed a suite of content products for web syndication. He holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor's from the University of Pennsylvania.
