Michelle Rea
Executive Director, New York Press Association

Michelle Rea's newspaper career began thirty years ago at The Record (Troy, NY), a 50,000 circ. daily in New York's Capital Region.  During her tenure, the newspaper was owned by Horvitz Communications, Ralph Ingersoll, and ultimately, Journal-Register, and Rea's responsibilities progressed from display advertising account executive, to director of promotion and marketing research, to advertising manager.
In January, 1992, Rea was named associate director of the New York Press Association, and executive director in 1994. Rea is also responsible for NYPA's subsidiary and affiliate companies, the New York Press Service and the NYPA Foundation.
