Stephen Fisher
Sales and Marketing Director, Telegraph Herald

Steve Fisher has been the Sales and Marketing Director of the Telegraph Herald since September of 2004. Fisher directs all responsibilities for the advertising and circulation departments. He joined the Telegraph Herald in June of 2001 as Retail Advertising Manager and became the Advertising Director in September of 2002. Prior to the Telegraph Herald, he was the advertising manager at the Quincy (Ill.) Herald-Whig.  Prior to Quincy, Fisher held several positions with Liberty Group Publishing and American Publishing Company. From February 1998 to October 1999 Fisher was the Publisher of the Marion (Ill.) Daily Republican, and the Herrin, (Ill.) Spokesman. From January 1995 to January 1998 Fisher was the Publisher of the Du Quoin (Ill.) Evening Call.  Fisher is president of Eastern Iowa DMA, Inc. He serves on the Iowa Newspaper Association’s promotional task force, and is a member of the Midwest Newspaper Advertising Executives Association. A native of Missouri, Fisher is a 1990 graduate of Truman State University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication.  Fisher has attended two API seminars: Advertising Leadership for community markets (2002) and the Executive Development Program for community markets (2005). Fisher has conducted advertising executive training for Inland Press Association.
