Rosemary Rocconi
Marketing Sales Consultant, Valassis

Rosemary Rocconi recently joined Valassis after 26 years in selling and managing advertising departments for community newspapers.  Her current role is to work with advertising agencies in assisting them to navigate the sometimes complex newspaper advertising landscape.

Rosemary started her career as a sales trainee in Doylestown, Pa., for the Intelligencer with Calkins Newspapers, Inc., now Calkins Media Group.  She enjoyed several sales and management positions there including that of advertising director.  She has also served as an advertising director for the Fayetteville Observer in North Carolina, the Princeton Packet in New Jersey; corporate advertising director for the Journal Register Company; vice president of advertising for Penn Jersey Advance and corporate advertising director for Ottaway Newspapers, the community division of Dow Jones.

It is with Ottaway Newspapers that Rosemary was fortunate to have progressive leadership that recognized the value and impact of using data to drive advertising and circulation sales.

Rosemary works in a consultative role with several community newspapers in implementing their advertising database systems.
