Mark Briggs

Mark Briggs has served as editor of thenewstribune.com, the flagship web site for The News Tribune, since 2004. He has worked in new media for newspapers since 2000 and has contributed to workshops, seminars and textbooks on the topic. He came to Tacoma from Everett where, as New Media Director and online editor for four years, The Herald received several regional and national awards for online innovation. A former sportswriter, Mark has a master’s degree in journalism from the University of North Carolina and a bachelor's degree from Gonzaga University. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Seattle University since 2002.
