Stacy JenningsDirector of Marketing, Savannah Morning News
Ms. Jennings graduated from Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University in 1982 with a B.A. in English. Her advertising career began with Bell South Advertising and Publishing in '82, and she joined the Morris Communications family of newspapers in 1985, at the Athens Banner Herald-Daily News. Ms. Jennings joined the Savannah Morning News in 1986 as co-op coordinator. She was promoted to special projects manager in 1990, a position she held until 1996, when she assumed the duties of marketing services manager for the Savannah Morning News. In 1998, Ms. Jennings was named Director of Marketing and assumed responsibility for the internal and external communications efforts of the Savannah Morning News and its affiliates. Ms. Jennings is active in civic and community groups, serving on the boards and volunteering for Savannah Theater Company, Coastal Children's Advocacy, Crime Stoppers, Parent and Child, Rape Crisis Center, Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club, the Savannah Advertising Federation and the Greater Savannah Sports Council. Industry affiliations include the NAA Marketing and Development Federation Board and membership in the International Newspaper Marketing Association. She is a State Director in the 7th District Advertising Federation, an affiliate of the American Advertising Federation. She is married to Skip Jennings, and they have two daughters, Nolan, and Alex, and Jesse, the dog. Ms. Jennings has attended three API seminars: Managing Newspaper Marketing, 1997; Executive Development Program, 2004; and Executive Marketing Seminar, 2005.
