Roy Wenzl
Prize-Winning Reporter

Roy Wenzl is a narrative writer who has 16 years of experience in editing. He teaches editing, writing, story ideas and story organization. Two of his serial narratives, “Saving Dad” and “Hope City,” were published in Reader’s Digest. He has won national awards, including a first place from the Society of Professional Journalists for the serial “The Hero’s Son.” He is the primary writer on The Wichita Eagle’s book about the BTK serial killer, expected to be published in 2007.  He has taught in newsrooms, in university classrooms, at the national IRE convention, at National Writers Workshops and at American Press Institute.
