Trish Payne
Designer, Richmond Times-Dispatch

Trisha Payne joined the Richmond Times-Dispatch as a graphic artist in 1993, and she worked in the graphics department for seven years. She has won numerous awards including a first place from the Virginia Press Association for an informational graphic illustrating Virginia Military Institute’s inclusion of women.

 

In 2000 she moved to the features department to become a design editor. There she has led re-designs for the paper’s Channels section and Balance section. She continues to design section fronts and produce visuals for the features department.

 

Ms. Payne holds an associate’s degree in visual communications from Maryland College of Art and Design and a bachelor’s degree in illustration and graphic design from Virginia Commonwealth University.
