Hood also guides the creative, digital and integrated marketing councils for the company, securing worldwide channels of content and marketing with partners like Jet Blue and Wal-Mart.
Lucy Hood has overseen a number of wireless industry firsts, including the successful ATTWS-Fox partnership for American Idol, which introduced text messaging to the US. Setting a world record, the program generated 15 million SMS votes, as well as premium ringtones, downloadables, and interactive applications. Most recently, Hood invented and trademarked the concept of “mobisodes,” short-form 3G mobile content, which will roll out globally in 2005, with top wireless carriers in the US and worldwide.
