Pierre Meyer, PH.D
President and Principal, MDA Consulting Group, San Francisco

Pierre (Pete) Meyer has more than thirty-five years of both business and academic experience and consults frequently in fields as diverse as financial services, manufacturing, marketing services, education and health care. He has been active in the Learning Newsroom, a project to help newsrooms improve their capacity to teach and learn the skills needed to produce better journalism. The Learning Newsroom is a joint project of the American Press Institute and the American Society of Newspaper Editors. Mr. Meyer’s consulting background includes a wide range of topics, including management development, leadership, decision making, conflict resolution and interpersonal style. In addition to working with organizations and human resource professionals, he has coached individuals in the areas of personal growth, career planning, and management and leadership skill development. Mr. Meyer has a Ph.D. in counseling and student personnel psychology from the University of Minnesota. In 1981 he and Sandra Davis, Ph.D., co-founded the Minneapolis-based consulting firm MDA Consulting Group, Inc. In 1991, a new firm, was established in California, and Meyer has been president of that firm since its inception.
