Wayne Snow
Vice President of Advertising, Lexington (KY) Herald Leader

Wayne Snow is Vice President of Advertising for the Lexington (KY) Herald Leader. A three-year military veteran, Mr. Snow began his career in 1985 after being recruited out of college by the Miami Herald. A Florida State University business major, his first stint as a retail account executive at The Miami Herald lasted three years. He then joined the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville, Florida, where he worked in retail/major accounts, In 1993, he was promoted to advertising director of their sister paper, the St. Augustine Record, where he worked for 15 months. While in St. Augustine, Mr. Snow was profiled in Presstime Magazine's inaugural "20 Under 40" feature, in December 1993. In April 1994, he moved on to the St. Petersburg Times as classified advertising manager of outside sales, and after three years there, he joined Gannett as classified advertising director at The Courier-Journal in Louisville, Kentucky, where he worked for the next three years. In May of 2000, he re-joined Knight Ridder as classified advertising director of The Miami Herald & El Nuevo Herald. He attributes his success in newspapers to the 200% rule (90% Positive Attitude + 110% Effort). This he feels "ensures success in whatever one chooses."
