Kathy Schenck

Kathy Schenck, the assistant managing editor for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s copy desk, has been editing in Milwaukee since 1990. She was the business desk slot at The Milwaukee Journal until the merger in 1995, and she became night copy desk chief later that year. In 1999, she was asked to lead the universal copy desk, and in 2001 was named AME. In 2006, Kathy became the news editor for the Sunday paper. Kathy is on the board of the American Copy Editors Society, and she coordinates the scholarship program. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism from Northwestern University.
