Richard Gilman
Chairman and Publisher, The Boston Globe

Richard is publisher of The Boston Globe, chairman of the Globe Newspaper Company, and president of the New England Newspaper Group division of The New York Times Company. Previously he served 16 years in a number of senior management positions at The New York Times. In addition to a breadth of experience in the business of newspapers, Richard has 11 years of experience as a journalist. He began his career as a reporter at The Arizona Daily Star in Tucson and rose there to the position of assistant managing editor. He earned a B.A. degree from the University of Arizona and an M.B.A. degree from the Harvard Business School. Richard attended an API seminar for City Editors in 1973.
