Laura Gordon currently wears two hats at The Dallas Morning News. She is Publisher of Quick, the new weekday "summary-style" newspaper targeted at younger readers, and she is the Managing Director of New Product Development at The Dallas Morning News. As part of the new product development process, Laura and her team created and tested the Quick concept over a year ago. Laura was tapped to oversee the launch of Quick into the market on November 10. She has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and has extensive background in consumer packaged goods marketing and product development. She is married with two children, ages 18 months and 8 years old. She is originally from Dallas, Texas, but only two years ago moved back to Dallas after living in Chicago for twenty years. Laura has been at The Dallas Morning News for a little over a year. Prior to that time, she was the Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for a health and beauty care company in Illinois.
