Mr. Greenman joined the Ledger-Enquirer in August 1995. Previously, he was vice president/circulation for the Akron Beacon Journal. He joined the Beacon Journal in 1985 as executive news editor and was promoted to assistant managing editor-metropolitan news and then managing editor/administration. Mr. Greenman helped direct and edit coverage of the attempted takeover of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. that won the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for local reporting. In 1991, he began a series of assignments on the business side of the Beacon Journal, including retail sales representative, circulation transportation manager and associate publisher for Stark/Wayne editions. Mr. Greenman was named assistant to the president and publisher in 1993 and vice president of circulation in 1994.

He is a graduate of Youngstown State University, where he was editor of the college newspaper and president of the Ohio College Newspaper Association. Mr. Greenman received a master’s degree in media studies from Antioch College. He has attended two API seminars: Executive Development Program (1990) and Role of the Investigative Reporter (1981).
