Participants will visit The Freedom Forum and the Dulles, Virginia, headquarters of America Online. They will also visit The Washington Post/ WashingtonPost.com, first and foremost a "local" newspaper that also has national and international reach, especially on the Web. There, they will meet with online and offline news departments and take part in discussions led by WashingtonPost.com Executive Editor Doug Feaver and Publisher Caroline Little, among others. And finally, online publishing expert and former LATimes.com editor Leah Gentry will prepare a written strategic analysis of every participating company’s Web site, which alone would make this seminar worthwhile.
